The Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic plays his best season and makes strong case for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. Before the All-Star reserve players announcement, Vucevic talked about his expectations.

Here is what Nikola Vucevic said, per The Athletic:

“It would mean everything, man. I try not to think about it, but it’s pretty hard. Obviously, everybody mentions it to me. Everybody keeps asking, ‘Are you going to make it?’ (They’re asking me) like I know it, but I don’t know. I’m waiting just like everybody else is waiting. But it would mean everything to me.

“Obviously, I’ve been through a lot here, and our team has been through a lot. I know I’ve been respected around this league, and I know people respect my game and know what I’m capable of. But I think getting selected as an All-Star would really take me to the next step.

“So hopefully the coaches recognize that. It’d mean a lot to me. We’ll see. It’s right there. I’m hoping for the best. I really do think I deserve it because of my play all year long and what I mean to this team.”

This season, Nikola Vucevic is averaging 20.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, while shooting at 52.0 percent from the floor and 37.7 percent from three in 31.3 minutes of action.
