Nikola Vucevic will face his former team tonight as the Chicago Bulls are playing the Orlando Magic Wednesday night. The veteran center will go against his beloved Magic for the first time since the trade deadline.

Vucevic was shipped to the Bulls at the trade deadline on Mar. 25 leaving Orlando after nine years of success that included multiple playoff appearances.

“It’s a team I spent a lot of years with,” Vucevic said. “It will be weird to see me in a Bulls jersey and playing against a Magic jersey, but I’m looking forward to it.

It will also be fun at the same time to see those guys, and play against them and compete. I expect some trash-talking, which I don’t do a lot, but I’m going to have to bring it tonight.”

In his first 10 games with the Bulls, Vucevic is averaging 21.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 43% from deep.

However, Chicago has a 3-7 record, since the franchise decided to overhaul its roster using Vucevic’s trade as the headliner.

While the Bulls are looking for the right balance with Vucevic in the mix, the injury-riddled Magic have only 17 wins this season one more than the Detroit Pistons, who have the worst record in the East.
