Maccabi Tel-Aviv defeated Panathinaikos at home (84-75) and extended its winning streak to four games to maintain a play-off push.

The “Greens” were competitive in the first quarter and were in front by one (16-17). Since then, though, the Israelis took over.

The hosts led from the second quarter onwards and extended their advantage to 13 (51-38).

The visitors couldn’t come closer than four points and suffered a painful defeat, as Maccabi also has the tie-breaker.

Angelo Caloiaro led the winners, with 20 points and 11 rebounds, as Scottie Wilbekin added 13.

Nick Calathes stood out for the losing squad (14 points, 10 assists), with Matt Lojeski and DeShaun Thomas posting 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv improved to 9-11, whereas Panathinaikos dropped to 8-12.
