Per Baskonia head coach, Velimir Perasovic, the club’s leader Tornike Shengelia may be sidelined for the next three months.
The Georgian power forward/center got injured during the match between the Basques and Real Madrid on Sunday (30/12).
The tests revealed a knee ligament injury that would require rest and physiotherapy. Yet, coach Perasovic told the media that things may be worse.
“It is a problem for us to know that Toko (Shengelia) will be out of action for a long period of time, maybe for up to three months.
We have to find a way to bolster our roster, we can’t keep playing with only eight players,” the Croatian coach mentioned.
