The undisputed leader of Baskonia, Tornike Shengelia, will be sidelined for the next four weeks, due to a knee injury.

The Georgian power forward/center got injured during the match between the Basques and Real Madrid on Sunday.

The tests revealed a knee ligament injury that will require rest and physiotherapy. Shengelia will remain out of action for at least three to four weeks and then his condition will be re-evaluated.

The 26-year-old player, who is also dealing with a broken nose, has averaged 12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, two assists and 1.2 steals in the EuroLeague so far.

Baskonia currently is at 7-8 and is attempting to maintain a play-off push.
