In a rematch from the 2017 Finals, Valencia cruised to an easy victory over Unicaja Malaga at home (85-74).

The hosts had control of the game from the opening tip and never looked back (22-13, 45-38).

In the second half, the visitors attempted to turn things around, but Valencia retained its lead close to double digits (66-58) and earned the victory.

Will and Matt Thomas posted 18 points apiece for the winners, with Alberto Abalde adding 14 points and seven rebounds.

Jaime Fernandez had 13 points for the losing squad, as three more players scored in double figures.

Valencia started the Top 16 in a successful way in Group G (1-0), whereas Unicaja Malaga dropped to 0-1.

In the other match of Group G, Crvena Zvezda defeated Limoges at home (83-71), with five players scoring in double figures for the winners.

In the Russian derby, Unics Kazan survived Zenit St Petersburg in a late thriller (68-67) and earned its first win in Group H.

Gal Mekel made two free throws to give the hosts the lead (68-67). Evgeny Voronov had the chance to give Zenit the victory, but missed the three-pointer on the final possession.
