Armani Milano point guard Curtis Jerrells discussed with TalkBasket.net following his team’s win over Panathinaikos in Athens (83-86).

Here is what the American player said:

On the key to the victory: “We played better defence, while our big men made the difference in rebounding and scoring. We also made it difficult for them to score against us and that was the key.”

On snapping a five-game losing streak and whether this can help them play better: “Absolutely. After five games, we had to win to bring back the energy and positivity. I think it is a new start to the right direction.”

On whether Armani Milano can maintain a play-off push: “This is why we are playing. We have to be strong and finish the game the right way.

We are still working, it is end of December and there is no more time for us, we should go one way.”

On his individual performance: “It was good for me tonight, I made some shots and played good defence. I am trying to do whatever the team needs me to do.”
