Anadolu Efes point guard, Dogus Balbay, talked to TalkBasket.net regarding the loss to Olympiacos on Thursday night (88-81).
Here is what the 29-year-old player said:
On what went wrong in the game: “We gave a lot of offensive rebounds, we didn’t do a good job. Axel Toupane also made a really good game and we had a tough time guarding him.
But, we didn’t control the rebounds and that was our main problem.”
On whether this defeat can affect the team mentally: “It was a hard loss, but we will stay strong. We have a double week next week (Buducnost and CSKA Moscow), I think we can win both games.
We should focus on that. It is a tough loss today, but we should forget about it and focus on next week.”
On Anadolu Efes performance so far: “Yes, we have made a good start so far (8-4). We had some tough losses to Armani Milano and Real Madrid, also today to Olympiacos.
But, we have to keep our heads up and continue. It is a long season and we have to continue that way.”
