Anadolu Efes forward Krunoslav Simon discussed with TalkBasket.net about the loss to Olympiacos on Thursday night (88-81).

Here is what the Croatian player said:

On what went wrong during the game: “We had two black holes, one in the beginning (23-8) and one in the last part of the match.

We had control of the game, we were up by seven (66-73), but we let them come back very easily. It was hard to win after that.”

On whether this defeat can affect the team mentally: “No, I don’t think so. It is a long season, still many games to play. Olympiacos is a great team, they are always playing good here.

But, it is just one game. We should now focus on the following game.”

On Anadolu Efes performance so far: “Yes, we have made a good start so far (8-4). We have a good team this year. We had some unfortunate results (against Armani Milano and Real Madrid, for instance).

But, we are still in a good situation. I hope we will play the same in the second part of the season and finish within the top four or five.”
