Davion Mitchell: Team needs time to adjust to Giannis Antetokounmpo

Davion Mitchell has acknowledged that the Heat are still working to develop chemistry with Giannis Antetokounmpo, explaining that playing alongside one of the NBA’s best players requires adjustments from everyone on the roster.

Mitchell believes the team is going through a natural learning process as players adapt to a different offensive approach.

He emphasized that Antetokounmpo’s presence changes how the team operates compared to last season, particularly when it comes to distributing offensive opportunities.

“We’re just learning … it’s good we’re doing it right now … it’s good to have these growing pains right now … You got to expect with someone like Giannis, one of the greatest players in the league, it’s going to look different than what we did last year.

“The way we play is going to look a little bit different, because he’s one of the greatest players in the league. So he needs his touches. People got to figure out how to find a rhythm with him, and I think people are. We got to get used to it …”
