Gran Canaria announced they have terminated the contract of head coach Salva Maldonado.

Maldonado, who was the head coach of the club from 2005 to 2009, joined the team during the summer, but his second stint with Gran Canaria was unsuccessful.

Gran Canaria is now looking for his replacement, with Maldonado’s assistant coach, Victor Gracia, taking over as interim head coach.

Gran Canaria has made a poor start to the season so far, having identical records in the EuroLeague (3-7) and the ACB (3-7, one win above the relegation zone).
