Gustavo Ayon helped Real Madrid defeat Zalgiris Kaunas on the road on Friday night (79-90) and won the MVP Award.

The Mexican center scored 13 points, on 4/5 in two-pointers and 5/8 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds, dished four assists, had three steals and one block, ending the game with a performance index rating of 30.

Ayon surpassed Paulius Jankunas of Zalgiris Kaunas, Arturas Gudaitis of Olimpia Milano, Will Clyburn of CSKA Moscow and Adrien Moerman of Anadolu Efes and was named the MVP of the fifth round in the competition.
