Charis Giannopoulos talked to TalkBasket.net after the loss of AEK Athens to Hapoel Jerusalem in the BCL opener (75-79).

Here is what the 29-year-old forward said:

On what went wrong for the squad in the game: “We lost our concentration in the second half, we let them take control of the situation and that changed the momentum. They scored many points and that was the biggest difference between the first and the second half.”

On whether the team will get better game after game: “For sure we will. We have to work on the small details that cost us the victory against Peristeri and Hapoel Jerusalem. But, it will take some time, because we need to adjust first.”

On the match against PAOK on Saturday (13/10): “This game is of paramount importance for us. We have to win it. It will allow us overcome the loss to Peristeri last week.”
