CSKA Moscow announced today that Kyle Hines will be the team’s captain for the upcoming season.
The 30-year-old American center will replace Victor Khryapa, who had been the captain for the past nine years.
This will be the second time a foreign player becomes the Muscovites’ captain. The first one was 10 years ago, when Matjaz Smodis was the squad’s captain.
Hines joined CSKA Moscow in 2013. Andrey Vorontsevich will be the club’s co-captain.
