Per the local police, Darrell Bowie (photo) and Joseph McClain of the Romanian club Cuza Sport Braila were stabbed on Saturday night in Romania.
The 25-year-old McClain sustained stab wounds to his chest and stomach, while the 24-year-old Bowie suffered a perforated lung.
The latter was transported by helicopter to Bucharest’s Emergency Hospital on Sunday to undergo surgery.
Both players’ condition is stable, as the club stated.
