12 years ago today, Spain decimated Greece (70-47) in the Final of the 2006 Basketball World Cup in Japan and became World Champions for the first time in their history.
The Spaniards were dominant from the opening tip and had no problem to beat the Greeks, who had prevailed over Team USA in the semi-final, and claim the title.
