With France coach Vincent Collet expected to announce his final 12-man roster for Eurobasket before the weekend is out, Antoine Diot is still hopeful that he is on the roster, despite numerous injury concerns.

Diot has experienced severe left knee pain for the last fortnight which has prevented him from being at full strength for the national side. He has undergone additional examinations and has seen a specialist in Paris.

In view of the results, the French medical team have told French press that the player is able to continue his preparation ahead of Eurobasket.

However, his condition will be monitored following a protocol of healthcare, before the start of Eurobasket. The player will be re-evaluated before the start of the competition, should he be included in the final roster, reported to be announced tonight (Friday).

The French Basketball Federation have not wished to make any additional comment.

France are housed in Group A alongside co-hosts Finland, Greece, Poland, Iceland and Slovenia.
