LeBron James has slammed Boston Celtics fans for burning Isaiah Thomas’ jersey after a blockbuster trade that sent him to the Cavaliers and moved Kyrie Irving to Boston.
And rightfully so. Thomas did not choose to go to Cleveland and the point guard not only steered Boston back amongst the Eastern Conference’s main sides but did so under great pressure, especially playing a Playoff game 24 hours after the death of his sister.
This tweet from HoopsHype writer Alex Kennedy sums up what most “real” fans are thinking of the situation.
Isaiah Thomas gave EVERYTHING he has to BOS, played while grieving, recruited Horford/Gordon & helped C's get Kyrie. And you do this? Idiot. pic.twitter.com/mfmoNKHES4
