Former Slovenian international Jaka Lakovic has been named as the new assistant coach of Liga Endesa side Bilbao.
Lakovic has been a player/coach in the second team of Barcelona back in the 2015-16 season and also an assistant last year. He is also an assistant of the Slovenian national team.
“With Jaka Lakovic onboard, we will have an icon of the European basket world on our bench,” the Bilbao press release said.
“He arrives in Bilbao with great desire to grow as a coach in our club and completes a magnificent coaching team with Carles Duran at the top.”
