Following an unexpected defeat to Murcia, Baskonia bounced back with an impressive 92-72 victory against Bilbao in front of a crowd of 15,500 at the inaugural match of the new season at Fernando Buesa Arena.
Marcus Howard led the charge with 16 points, complemented by Chima Moneke’s 14 points and Nikos Rogkavopoulos’ 13.
Vanja Marinkovic also reached double digits with 11 points, while Khalifa Diop nearly secured a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
On the Bilbao side, Tryggvi Hlinason contributed 13 points and eight boards, Kristian Kullamae added 12 points, and Adam Smith chipped in with 11 points.
