Khimki have announced Georgios Bartzokas as their new head coach on a two-year deal.

Bartzokas replaces Dusko Ivanovic at the helm and he returns to a country where he had his last real success with Lokomotiv Kuban.

With Kuban, he led them to the 2016 EuroLeague Final Four and before that he won the 2013 championship with a Olympiacos.

The Greek tactician arrives from Barcelona, whom he guided to a 12-18 record and 11th place in the EuroLeague and a 22-10 record and sixth-place regular season finish in the Liga Endesa, where it was eliminated by eventual champion Valencia.
