Fenerbahce have signed a three-year deal worth a record €45million with Dogus Group to be a title sponsor, starting next season.

The EuroLeague champions will be known as Fenerbahce Dogus with the deal set to solidify the Turkish side as a dominant force in European basketball.

“The national support given to Fenerbahçe during the EuroLeague final shows how basketball culture grows in Turkey,” Ferit Şahenk, the Doğuş Group’s president said.

“We want to support this success. We are grateful for this opportunity. The goal of our cooperation is to nurture and keep our success in basketball going.”

Fenerbahce though will be without Bogdan Bogdanovic as the Serbian international will be NBA-bound but coach Zeljko Obradovic admits that while losing a key factor to their successful campaign last season dents his plans for next season, the team must move forward.

“I know how Şahenk loves Fenerbahçe,” Obradovic said.

“I am happy that he will give us support. I hope we will work with him like a big family. We are going to play as European champions next year. We have to be better than ever.”
