In a season that is being marked by the injury problems of the team, Barcelona have added point guard Xavier Munford until the end of the season as he fills in for the injured Alex Renfroe.

The 24-year-old Munford arrives from the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA Development League, where he averaged 18.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 30 games this season.

Munford also played with the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA, and made his pro debut in 2014 with the Bakersfield Jam.

He played college ball in Miami Dade College (2010–2011), Iowa Western CC (2011–2012) and Rhode Island (2012–2014). This will be Munford’s debut outside the United States.
