Current standings leaders and reigning champions are the richest club Europe with a budget of €35 million, reveals the list of EuroLeague club budgets which was recently published by Lithuanian website basketnews.lt.

The fact that CSKA Moscow are the biggest spenders in EuroLeague comes as no surprise since the Russian side had that reputation for a number of years now.

Other than CSKA Moscow, the top of the list is dominated by Turkish and Spanish sides. Meanwhile Crvena Zvezda is the top performer in terms of budget:success ratio. Despite having the smallest budget in EuroLeague, the Serbian side is currently in 9th position, just behind a playoff spot.

At the same time EA7 Emporio Armani Milan is struggling to produce the expected results. The side who has the 6th biggest budget in Europe is currently second from the bottom and will need a huge effort to reach the playoffs.
