Denver Nuggets’ star Nikola Jokic emphasized the team’s commitment to winning following their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 of their first-round series.

“I think I said it one time, winning is a lifestyle for us. We really enjoy it. It feels really good when you’re winning, especially when you win a lot of games like, everybody’s happy, everybody wants to play, everybody’s buying into the system.

“So winning I think it’s a lifestyle and we don’t want to… I was here when we were losing, so I don’t want to go back to that,” Jokic said.

Jokic’s sentiment resonated with the Nuggets’ performance on the court, where they showcased their championship pedigree and extended their winning streak over the Lakers to 11 games.

Led by Aaron Gordon’s 29 points and 15 rebounds, along with Jokic’s 24 points and nine assists, the Nuggets displayed their depth and determination to secure victory.

Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. also made significant contributions, highlighting the team’s collective effort and commitment to success.

Despite facing a valiant effort from Lakers’ stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the Nuggets maintained their composure and capitalized on their opponent’s weaknesses.

With the Nuggets holding a commanding 3-0 series lead, the Lakers find themselves in a dire situation, facing the prospect of elimination.

As the playoffs unfold, Jokic’s words serve as a reminder of the team’s mindset and commitment to achieving success on the court.
