Thunder address injury problems with Dalen Terry signing

Dalen Terry is leaving the Golden State Warriors’ G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, to join the Oklahoma City Thunder, providing additional depth as the team deals with several injuries.

The former first-round pick has agreed to a two-year contract with Oklahoma City after spending time in Golden State’s organization.

Terry’s arrival comes as the Thunder face significant absences involving three starters: Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Cason Wallace.

All three players were injured in the same game on October 25, creating an unusual situation for the former NBA champions.

According to ESPN Research, Oklahoma City became the first NBA team in 50 years to have three starters injured in the same game and then miss at least 20 consecutive games each.

The injuries have forced the Thunder to look for additional roster depth, particularly on the perimeter.

Terry, selected 18th overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2022 NBA Draft, has also spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers.
