The Denver Nuggets have reached an agreement with EuroLeague Best Defender Alpha Diallo on a one-year, $1.4 million guaranteed contract, according to ESPN.

The 29-year-old forward will make the jump to the NBA after establishing himself as one of Europe’s premier defensive players during his time with AS Monaco.

Diallo earned EuroLeague Best Defender honors last season following another outstanding campaign.

The former Providence standout has spent the past several years playing at the highest level in Europe and now joins a Denver team looking to strengthen its roster for another championship push in the Western Conference.

Diallo’s representatives, Jared Mucha and Javon Phillips of Excel Sports Management, confirmed the agreement to ESPN.
