Suns waive Haywood Highsmith

The Phoenix Suns have waived veteran forward Haywood Highsmith, according to HoopsHype.

Highsmith was set to earn $3 million for the 2026-27 season, with $1 million of that salary guaranteed.

Known primarily for his defense and outside shooting, the 3-and-D forward has spent six seasons in the NBA.

During that time, he has averaged 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 38% from three-point range.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Haywood Highsmith, league sources told @hoopshype. He was partially guaranteed $1 million of his $3 million salary for the 2026-27 season. The 3-and-D forward has averaged 5.4 points on 38% 3-point shooting and 3.1 rebounds in six NBA seasons.
