Despite recent speculation, the Cleveland Cavaliers remain confident that Mario Hezonja will return to the NBA as planned.

The Cavaliers are expected to sign the former lottery pick to a one-year veteran minimum contract and reportedly have no concerns that the agreement could collapse.

Reports from Europe suggested Real Madrid is reluctant to release Hezonja from his contract because of concerns Cleveland could waive him during the season, allowing him to join another EuroLeague club.

However, the Cavaliers reportedly view Hezonja as a regular part of their rotation rather than a short-term addition.
