Stephen Curry has spoken publicly for the first time since LeBron James chose to join the Philadelphia 76ers instead of the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State was widely viewed as one of the finalists for James, with his relationship with Curry, Draymond Green and head coach Steve Kerr making the Warriors a legitimate option.

However, the four-time NBA champion ultimately decided Philadelphia offered a better path.

Curry acknowledged that free agency is unpredictable, regardless of how realistic a move may seem.

“That’s why you don’t envision anything until it happens,” Curry said. “There’s a lot of moving parts.”
