Adam Silver says Kawhi Leonard investigation nears conclusion

NBA commissioner Adam Silver expects the league’s investigation into Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers to conclude before the end of the summer.

Speaking to reporters in Las Vegas, Silver said Wachtell Lipton, the law firm overseeing the investigation into possible salary cap circumvention, has entered the final stage of its work.

“My understanding is Wachtell is now in the process of going through the information they’ve gathered and drawing conclusions from it,” Silver said.

The investigation has delayed the completion of Leonard’s proposed move from the Clippers to the Toronto Raptors, with both teams waiting for the league’s findings before finalizing the deal.
