The Golden State Warriors are adding veteran coach Frank Vogel to Steve Kerr’s staff as the team’s new lead assistant, according to HoopsHype.

Vogel spent last season as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks after previously serving as a head coach with the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers, and Phoenix Suns.

The 53-year-old brings championship experience to Golden State, having guided the Lakers to the 2020 NBA title during his tenure as head coach.

Vogel is expected to strengthen the Warriors’ coaching staff with his defensive expertise and years of experience leading NBA teams.
