The Oklahoma City Thunder have declined their $7.2 million team option on veteran forward Kenrich Williams, making him a free agent.

Williams appeared in 56 regular-season games for Oklahoma City last season, averaging 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 15.3 minutes per contest while providing depth and versatility off the bench.

He also saw action in 11 playoff games, although his role was limited, averaging just 6.5 minutes per appearance during the postseason.

Despite declining the option, Oklahoma City could still bring Williams back on a less expensive contract as the organization continues managing its salary cap and long-term financial flexibility.
