The Los Angeles Clippers have declined their $5.9 million team option on veteran forward Nicolas Batum, sending the 37-year-old into free agency.

Batum appeared in 74 games last season, averaging 4.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 17.5 minutes while continuing to provide experience and defensive versatility off the bench.

With the option declined, Batum will now be free to explore opportunities with other teams this offseason.
