Riley Minix is reportedly nearing a deal with ASVEL, a move that could take the Cleveland Cavaliers wing overseas for next season.
Although Minix remains under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-way deal, the organization is reportedly expected to cooperate if he chooses to pursue the opportunity in France.
Cleveland would likely release him from his current agreement to allow the move to be finalized.
The 6-foot-7 wing has spent parts of the last two seasons with both the Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs, but opportunities at the NBA level have been limited.
As a result, most of his development has come in the G League, where he has consistently produced strong numbers.
Across 54 G League appearances over the past two seasons, Minix has averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
He has also been highly efficient offensively, posting impressive shooting splits of 52 percent from the field, 42 percent from three-point range, and 82 percent from the free-throw line.
