The San Antonio Spurs are making a roster change, waiving two-way forward Riley Minix to sign guard Kyle Mangas to a two-way contract, league sources confirmed to Michael Scotto on Friday.
Mangas has been a standout for the Austin Spurs in the G League, averaging 18.5 points on 50% shooting and 41% from three, along with 5.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 35.8 minutes per game over 10 appearances this season.
Mangas, 26, has spent time internationally and in the G League, including stints with USK Praha, Šiauliai-7bet, Indiana Mad Ants, and the Vancouver Bandits before returning to Austin in 2025. His performance in the G League earned him a call-up with the Spurs, where he will now provide depth and scoring potential on a two-way deal.
Minix, who will be waived to make room for Mangas, has also been productive in the G League this season. Over 11 games, he averaged 15.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 46.3% from the field and 39.4% from three.
After going undrafted in 2024, Minix joined San Antonio for Summer League, signed a two-way contract in October 2024, and played one NBA game in 2024–25, recording two rebounds in seven minutes against the Houston Rockets.
The Spurs (17-7) are preparing for Saturday’s NBA Cup semifinal against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Las Vegas.
