The San Antonio Spurs are re-signing forward Riley Minix on a two-way NBA contract, according to a report by Shams Charania.
Minix, 24, spent most of last season with the Austin Spurs, the team’s G League affiliate, after going undrafted in 2024. He appeared in just one NBA game for San Antonio but made an impression in limited time with both the G League squad and in Summer League play.
The six-foot-seven wing averaged 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot 50 percent from the field over three G League regular season games last season. He connected on 43.8 percent of his three-point attempts, offering a glimpse into the shooting versatility that intrigued Spurs coaches.
Minix continued to build momentum this summer, posting 11.3 points per game over four appearances in the 2025 NBA Summer League. He shot 47.4 percent from beyond the arc while adding 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest.
Originally from Morehead State before transferring to Southeastern University, Minix rose through the NAIA ranks before making the leap to the NBA pipeline. His combination of size, shooting, and work ethic allowed him to carve out a niche despite going undrafted.
Minix’s two-way contract allows him to split time between the NBA and G League once again in 2025–26, giving the Spurs flexibility to monitor his growth while providing roster depth at the forward position.
