De’Aaron Fox says he understood his role would change after joining San Antonio and has willingly adjusted his game to help the team succeed.

The All-Star guard acknowledged that his shot volume has decreased, but emphasized that personal sacrifices are sometimes necessary when joining a talented roster with championship aspirations.

“Obviously, I’m not shooting the ball as much. But coming here, I knew that was the way it was going to be.”

Fox explained that his focus is on doing whatever the team needs rather than worrying about individual statistics.

“As a player, you sacrifice for the betterment of the team.”

While his offensive opportunities may vary from game to game, Fox stressed that efficiency and decision-making remain the priorities.

“There are times where I need to take shots or times where I don’t take as many shots, but at the end of the day, you need to make the shots that you take.”
