The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in bringing back Mitchell Robinson, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

However, New York’s growing payroll situation could make negotiations difficult and potentially force the organization into a challenging financial decision regarding the veteran center.

If the Knicks hesitate on a new deal, the Sacramento Kings are viewed as a possible landing spot for Robinson.

Kings general manager Scott Perry was part of New York’s front office when Robinson was originally drafted and has reportedly remained a strong supporter of the athletic big man.

Sacramento is also dealing with salary cap concerns and is navigating around the league’s tax apron restrictions, though the Kings may still be able to create enough flexibility to pursue Robinson in free agency.

Other teams with potential interest include the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls, both of whom are expected to search for center help during the offseason.
