Chicago Bulls 2026 No. 4 pick Caleb Wilson is standing firm on saying he wants to become the greatest player ever.

(via Chicago Bulls):

Sam Smith: “I think everybody appreciates confidence, personal assertiveness. But do you worry a little bit about… you made some dramatic statements about wanting to be the best ever in the city where Michael Jordan played. I mean, it’s kind of a bold thing to say.”

Wilson: “No, I don’t. I don’t worry about it at all. Me saying I want to do something and me putting the actions behind it and becoming a great player are all things that I feel like I’m capable of. Striving for something is something that we all do. I mean, striving to be the greatest ever… it’s a bold thing to say, but that’s what I’m striving for. I’m not striving to be an average or [a] mediocre player, and if I was to tell you or anyone that, that wouldn’t be good either. I mean, I’m striving to be the best player that has ever played the game, and I’ve been doing that for a long time. So, I’m just gonna keep doing that. And if I reach that goal, I do. If I don’t, then at least I know I tried.”
