Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren recently discussed what makes Ajay Mitchell able to fit with any lineup in various roles (averaging 18.8 PPG/4.0 RPG/4.9 APG/1.1 TOV/1.4 SPG/1.8 PF/47.1% FG/51.8% 2-PT/36.1% 3-PT/89.3% FT/52.5% eFG/29.8 MPG/+17.0 +/- through eight 2026 NBA Playoff games).

“I think there’s a lot of things in his game. Any time you have somebody that is an extremely physical downhill driver, but can also shoot and can also see the floor, a lot of good things tend to happen. It’s really hard. You can’t keep him away from the front of the rim without showing him bodies, and you can’t show him bodies without giving up an easy read for him. So, he’s a helluva player. We saw it all of last series. And even before, he had to kinda come in and pick up big usage in the starting lineup. We see it. He’s just a really good player.”
