The Milwaukee Bucks have informed NBA investigators that Giannis Antetokounmpo did not take part in 3-on-3 scrimmages as part of his return-to-play process, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.

Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo has told the league he believes he is healthy enough to return after suffering a hyperextended left knee and bone bruise on March 15.

The situation is part of an ongoing NBA investigation into Milwaukee’s handling of the player participation policy, as the team and its star forward appear to be at odds.

Antetokounmpo has said he wants to play, while the Bucks have not medically cleared him.

“I’m available to play, but I’m not in the game,” he said Friday. “I’m available to play today. Right now. I’m available.”

Milwaukee was officially eliminated from playoff contention on March 28.
