The Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies face significant roster challenges as they prepare to meet at FedExForum on Monday night. Both teams are missing key contributors due to injuries.
For the Suns, Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), Amir Coffey (left ankle sprain), Haywood Highsmith (right knee), and Mark Williams (left foot stress reaction) are all sidelined.
Devin Booker remains the focal point, averaging 25.5 points and six assists per game this season. Grayson Allen and Collin Gillespie will likely take on heavier scoring responsibilities, with Allen contributing 17.3 points per game and Gillespie 13.1.
The Grizzlies are missing several rotation players. The absence of Morant and Edey removes two of Memphis’ primary offensive options, leaving Rayan Rupert, Cedric Coward, and Taylor Hendricks to carry scoring duties. Rupert has averaged 10.1 points per game, while Coward contributes 13.5 and Hendricks 10.6.
Memphis has struggled to maintain consistency this season, holding a 25-49 record and sitting 11th in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies narrowly defeated the Chicago Bulls 125-124 in their most recent outing.
Phoenix comes into the matchup with a 41-33 record, currently seventh in the West. The Suns won their last game against the Utah Jazz 134-109 and lost a close contest to the Denver Nuggets 123-125.
The teams split their first two meetings this season, with Memphis winning at Phoenix in October and Phoenix claiming a January victory in Memphis.
