Ja Morant scored 28 points, including a go-ahead 11-foot jumper with 7.6 seconds left, to push the Memphis Grizzlies past the Phoenix Suns 114-113 on Wednesday night at the Mortgage Matchup Center. Morant added eight rebounds and seven assists, scoring 18 points in the second half to carry Memphis down the stretch.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter, while Mark Williams added 20 points and 11 rebounds in his first start. Phoenix briefly took a 113-112 lead with 51.4 seconds remaining after Williams’ dunk.

Santi Aldama set up Morant for the decisive basket, and Booker’s potential game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the rim. Memphis extended its winning streak over Phoenix to six games with the narrow victory.

Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 18 points, while Aldama had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds with five assists off the bench. The Grizzlies built a 106-97 lead midway through the fourth quarter before the Suns rallied to tie the game at 108.

Royce O’Neale hit a key 3-pointer with 9:16 left to tie the score at 87, but Memphis scored seven straight points afterward. The Grizzlies overcame a 99-89 deficit midway through the fourth, showing resilience against a Suns team missing Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks.

The Grizzlies shot 47.3% from the field, including 39.5% from three, while Phoenix finished 47.7% overall and 40% from distance. Memphis capitalized on critical possessions in the final two minutes to seal the win.
