Anthony Edwards has missed the past five games due to right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome, but there is encouraging progress in his recovery.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star has now been cleared to resume on-court basketball activities.

Before the injury, Edwards had played in 58 games this season and was putting up strong numbers, averaging 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 35.5 minutes per game.

He has also posted a career-best player efficiency rating of 22.2.

Minnesota continues to hold a strong position in the standings, currently sitting fifth in the Western Conference and maintaining a one-game edge over the Houston Rockets in the loss column.
