The Brooklyn Nets will face lineup challenges as they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, February 22, at State Farm Arena.
Several two-way and G League-assigned players, including Tyson Etienne, Chaney Johnson, E.J. Liddell, Josh Minott, and Ben Saraf, are all unavailable. Ziaire Williams will also miss the game for personal reasons, leaving Brooklyn short-handed in both guard and forward rotations.
Atlanta enters the matchup with notable injury concerns of their own. Jonathan Kuminga is out with a left knee bone bruise, while RayJ Dennis and Caleb Houstan are listed as doubtful.
The Nets have struggled recently, dropping their last two games on the road. They fell 86-105 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on February 20 and lost 84-112 to the Cleveland Cavaliers the night before.
Michael Porter Jr. leads the team at 24.7 points per game, supported by Nic Claxton’s 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. Noah Clowney has also contributed 12.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Atlanta has been inconsistent as well, coming off a 97-128 home loss to the Miami Heat and a 117-107 win at Philadelphia.
Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels are the Hawks’ primary scorers, averaging 23.3 and 11.5 points per game, respectively, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker adds 20 points per contest. Onyeka Okongwu anchors the paint with 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds.
This will be the second meeting between the teams this season. The Hawks won 117-112 at Barclays Center on October 29, 2025.
With both clubs hovering near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings—Brooklyn at 15-40 and Atlanta at 27-31—Sunday’s contest carries added importance for lottery positioning and team morale.
