Brooklyn will be without Egor Demin (left plantar fascia), Michael Porter Jr. (right ankle), and Day’Ron Sharpe (left thumb), while Nolan Traore is resting. Ziaire Williams is listed as questionable due to illness.
The Nets have struggled recently, losing 138-100 to Detroit after beating Memphis 126-115. Porter Jr. leads Brooklyn with 24.2 points per game, and Claxton averages 12.1 points and 7.1 rebounds.
Atlanta enters the contest on a seven-game winning streak, with recent wins over Dallas (124-112) and Philadelphia (125-116).
The Hawks have several players listed as questionable, including Dyson Daniels (left great toe), Jonathan Kuminga (left knee), RayJ Dennis, Keshon Gilbert, and Asa Newell, all facing varying injuries or G League assignments.
Jalen Johnson, the team’s leading scorer with 23.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, is expected to start. Nickeil Alexander-Walker averages 20.0 points, while Onyeka Okongwu contributes 16.1 points and 7.8 rebounds. Kuminga has played limited minutes due to a left knee bone bruise but has shown 21.3 points per game in his three appearances.
