Williams will split time between Golden State and their G League affiliate, providing depth to a Warriors roster dealing with Jimmy Butler’s season-ending injury.
Williams, 27, has previous NBA experience with the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, totaling 47 career games. In limited NBA action, he averages 3.8 points, 1.0 rebound, and 0.5 assists per game, shooting 51.4% from the field and 27.0% from three.
His G League performance this season with Long Island has been strong, averaging 19.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists across 13 games while shooting 46.2% from the field and 39.2% from deep. Williams’ ability to score efficiently and contribute on both ends makes him a versatile addition for Golden State.
The Warriors currently hold a 29-26 record, sitting eighth in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry leads the team with 27.2 points per game.
