Peyton Watson suffered a hamstring injury during the Denver Nuggets’ 134-127 double-overtime loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter, and Watson is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity.

“Waiting to see the MRI,” Nuggets coach David Adelman said after the game. “But just seeing so much of this this year. I just feel bad for the guys in the locker room.

“It’s deflating when you keep seeing people go down around you when you’re trying to build towards something.”

Since January 1, Watson has been a key contributor for Denver, averaging 21.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
