VJ Edgecombe’s 25 points, including a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left, lifted the Philadelphia 76ers to a 139-136 overtime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night at FedExForum.

Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid each scored 34 points, combining for 68, but it was Edgecombe who carried Philadelphia through the fourth quarter with 13 crucial points, snapping the Sixers’ three-game losing streak.

Philadelphia trailed 103-100 entering the fourth quarter before Edgecombe’s pair of 3-pointers and a drive pushed the team ahead 124-118 with under four minutes remaining.

Ja Morant led Memphis with 40 points, including 18 in the fourth, keeping the Grizzlies in striking distance and sending the game to overtime after a 128-128 tie with under a minute left.

Cedric Coward recorded career-highs with 28 points and 16 rebounds, while Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr. each scored 15 points for the home team. Jackson also added 12 rebounds.

Both teams shot over 50% in the first half, resulting in a 72-all tie at the break, with Maxey scoring 24 points and Embiid adding 19 for Philadelphia. Memphis struggled with 11 turnovers despite connecting on nine of 17 three-point attempts.

In overtime, Edgecombe’s late heroics sealed the win as the 76ers outscored the Grizzlies 11-8. Philadelphia’s balanced scoring and clutch shooting overcame Memphis’ late rally.

Paul George added 17 points, providing veteran leadership alongside Embiid and Maxey’s scoring firepower. Philadelphia shot 46% overall, including 36% from deep and 81% from the free-throw line.

Memphis finished 55% from the field, 38% from three, and 88% from the free-throw line, but their turnovers and missed late opportunities, including Coward’s last-second 3-pointer, proved decisive.

The victory improves Philadelphia to 17-14, while Memphis falls to 15-18. The 76ers continue their five-game road trip against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, and the Grizzlies travel to Los Angeles to face the Lakers on Friday.
